Uses | 4-nitrophthalic anhydride is used to prepare phthalic acid and compounds with anticonvulsant activity. Used as an intermediate of the fluorescent dye fluorescein isothiocyanate, and also used for the determination of alcohols. |
Production method | 4-nitrophthalic acid (610-27-5) is generated by hydrolysis of 4-nitrophthalimide, and then obtained by dehydration. 4-nitrobenzenediimide was added to sodium hydroxide solution and heated to boil for 15min. Adjust the pH6-8 with nitric acid and boil with nitric acid for 5min. Cooling, filtering, the filtrate is extracted with ether, and the extract is dried and evaporated to remove the ether, that is, 4-nitrobenzene diformic anhydride crystals are precipitated. 95% yield. |
